Minimum wage in local currency

Definition: Many countries have several minimum wage rates. These rates usually depend on age, region, sector and level of skills. Certain groups of workers are sometimes excluded from minimum wage legislation. The minimum wage level reported here matches, as much as possible, that of a worker with the following profile: adult non-skilled or semi-skilled worker, working in the largest urban area, employed full-time in the largest non-agricultural sector. The reference period of minimum wage is H : per hour; D: per day; W: per week; M: per month; Y: per year.
